La foule

Nicolas Dupont-Gnangnan — pardon, Dupont-Aignan, a annoncé sa candidature à l'élection présidentielle en 2007. (Le Figaro)

J'ai de la sympathie pour cet homme, mais la fragmentation des candidatures est un signe inquiétant pour notre démocratie. MM. Bayrou, Villepin, Sarkozy, Dupont-Aignan, Villiers, Le Pen... Qui manque-t-il? Ah oui, Christine Boutin. Sans même parler de la gauche... Souvenons-nous de 2002! Souvenons-nous surtout qu'un candidat doit être porteur d'un projet et d'un mouvement populaire forts, pas simplement des intérêts d'un fief politique.

M. Dupont-Aignan se veut l'héritier du gaullisme, et c'est peut-être une graine de grand homme. Qu'il se souvienne alors de cette phrase du général de Gaulle : « tout peut, un jour, arriver, même qu'un acte conforme à l'honneur et à l'honnêteté apparaisse en fin de compte, comme un bon placement politique » et qu'il retire sa candidature.
